Before I go though, can someone please tell me im not crazy, that's not a montipora correct? I bought one of these and its growing good but I was having questions, found this picture of the parent colony and has me doubting. Stylophora?

As far as the Mariner of the month thing goes I love Tim's thread, good questions but not many responses.
Mike had some great points as well and so did Luis, who I agree with wholeheartedly that pretty pictures is NOT what it's all about.
Very hard topic.
My feelings are that it's about what you do, what your true connection to R2R is exactly, who you impact or have impacted, helped now and along the way.
If it's based on pictures I'm out cuz everyone has seen an Aiptasia farm and would never vote for one.
And Mike, @Nor'easter Reefer you've given me so much along the way through this thread you are just as deserving as anyone else.

Bad news guys and gals. Our puppy got hit hard with seizures last night and today. Around 3 o'clock he had his last seizure and his heart stopped.

I hope youll all be able to find a little peace this evening. That's like losing family. Really sorry Tim.

Looks like stylophora to me. I could be wrong, but it does not look like a monti.

I concur. I also feel like, and maybe im wrong, I'd almost have to campaign to even get any name recognition. I'm sure half the people voting have never heard of me and i'm not about to go out of my way to try and intermingle with people for the sole sake of winning. I'll do it organically, but im not abkut to be famous overnight lol. I feel like maybe if it was nomination only? That would eliminate or at least help eliminate the pay to win situation?

Mike! Your tank is fantastic man. You reach out to a lot of new members on r2r and to me thats very important. The award is more about the person than the tank, I think. Reefing is all about how much joy it brings to you and your family. Each person's reef is special to me. We're all doing something very unique and special here. Your tank is the reason you're here and, why we all met.
My son asked me to enter, and he's proud of his part in the tank. I tried to make the entry more a out all of us than me. It's not anything I've done before.
