Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I didn’t know you spoke Canadian, world traveler, immunologist, reefer and you are fluid in Canadian. What else do we not know, eh?
Whatever are you talking aboat?

Man... My phone falls asleep between every "like" and it's taking almost a minute to post anything. In fact, the site stops "loading" and I have to refresh just to see if my post made it.

I bet no one has reported it yet so the mods don't even know! We should all report this lag.

I'm kidding! They totally know. Don't report it.

Pe

Perty Paul! You can, I usually my bone cutter and get between the disc and plug and it just pops off.
You also use a small flat tip screwdriver and just pop it off.

It was more “thumb surgery” lol

Had a large mass removed by the knuckle they are pretty sure it’s benign but to be safe it was removed and sent to labs waiting results fingers crossed
They sell big rubber gloves that go up to your elbow

Yeah, but those leak a lot of times. I bought a 100 pack. I've got about 30 left. So far I haven't found the one that doesn't leak.

I found these heavier ones, think they are for washing dishes. I have a dishwasher so don't be getting the wrong idea. I use those and they don't leak.

look what I found this morning. only took a year. hadn't seen it for like 2 weeks.

That's awesome man, we used to catch these in our shrimp trawls back in the day. That's a cool animal. I wonder if you could preserve the shed.

I used to have a pair of these.

Coralife Gloves

They work pretty well. I've seen them for sale at Ocean Floor. I almost bought another pair last time I was there.

I used them for several years but gave them away as part of my last moving, thus giving up reefing episodes.

Thank you!! I had a single aptasia and bought w peppermint shrimp and it was gone overnight, it was in a spot where I couldn’t cover it in glue. I’m definitely learning as I go and not chasing numbers. I don’t check my cal and mag at all. I only check my Alk, phos, and nitrates. I dose about 25 ml of Red Sea KH, and 10 ml of all for reef everyday. I am trying not to change anything that I’m doing
You're doing something right. That's very obvious

So. I took today off to proceed on my tank build. I am having the power line to the house buried, taking out the 100a panel and doing a 200a panel, having a dedicated 20a outlet installed for the tank.
Hooked up the portable Generac for the tank and rest of the house.

That's what im talking about buddy! I need that generator for hurricane season.

Omg ( that’s on my goat for you older reefers), that was awful! I had to call one of those psychologists you hear adds about ( pretty sure she was ai). She told me to start texting all my friends outside of R2R and after about a 3 minute pause she said let’s move on. She told to just sit back and enjoy my relaxing reef tank but I told her I don’t really like fish or coral, I just set it up so I could make friends on R2R and that way nobody would know how hideously disfigured I was , that I make the elephant man look like Tom Cruise. She said she didn’t have the license to prescribe the medicine I need especially the hardcore antipsychotics and hung up. Then I got back on and what a beautiful day it is.

I think it's happy here. but eventually want to attach to rock. should I just saw off the frag plug and glue the disc down? these rocks really don't have the 1/2" holes for a plug. honestly I would just like to get rid of the plug completely but afraid I'd injure too much.

IMG_9022.jpeg
You could clip parts of the frag plug off with coral cutters. I might be careful doing that, though. Make a little base of putty and mold it around the plug to form something more natural looking then glue the epoxy to the rock. That's a beautiful goni
