Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
So I saw this plant in my landscape and I was sure it was mint but when I rubbed it under my nose and over my lips it didn’t smell or taste like mint, it kinda had the smell of ivy. Anyone have a clue.

I've done it both ways. I usually use fresh but if I'm doing a water change anyway I just combine the operations. The pods, etc. will be fine as long as the new sw is well mixed before adding the rock. If there's a lot of good stuff on the rock maybe go with the tank water but I don't think it matters that much either way.

Yeah, if you were inundated with aiptasia, bubble algae or hair algae, I’d do fresh everything. But if your tank is good then doesn’t matter too much adding the water change to it if you are adding the rock anyway. Faster cycle.

Here it is lol
Because the cabinet of my tank is not separate and the sump is where the controls are, the salt has already damaged 2 powerheads and almost everything is full of salt, from there it occurred to me that I had to find a solution and although it seems like a luxury, it is something more of a necessity. This weekend I have a lot of homework since I have to remove all the controls to move it here.
