Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Side note, BeanAnimal and I had a long drawn out argument when I first came on this forum. About tank heating. But I have since ditched my disgust for him based on what I have learned since. he is hard to deal with, but maybe i am too
You are not.
In any way.

Welcome Andre, glad you are here! My best friend was a C-130 pilot and retired after 20 years and now flies for Delta.
Awesome. I’ve ridden in several C-130s…not the most comfortable ride. I was a ground guy doing satellite communications.

It's hard. You almost have to proof read every post because everyone's so hyper politicized nowadays. I know a few people who have 100% polar opposite views as me due to their posts(they backhanded/blatantly make there beliefs known even against TOS, but Im not about to let it effect how I talk/view them. That said, I think i'm one of the few who take the path less traveled. I like dialogue, not arguments so I dont mention it around people in general, let along those who will prefer to argue.
This thread is a safe place, where we can laugh, cry and be honest with each other with everything besides reefing 😉 (and that too) and I really consider y'all my family.
I post very little outside this thread and I'm super careful, if I do with what I say.
I'm also not very modern with my reefing methods so I don't fit in well, nor do I have any answers to a lot of questions.
I don't understand a lot of posts.
I also don't really have a reef tank, just some free softies and a big Ole trigger no one can relate to.
But I love you guys and this thread gets me through every day, no matter how bad.
I also think it's pretty cool to find a group of people who have never met that actually care about each other.
That's something unheard of nowadays and something that's really special.
It's unfortunate that lots have become angry and disgruntled, opinionated and rude.
Just glad we all have each other.
I've learned more on this thread than 40 years combined.
Thanks to all of you.
I feel very blessed to have you all in my life.

Hey everyone…@kingranch2003 told me I should pop over here. After lurking for a while and seeing baseball, music, food and reefing…decided I should post.

I’m Andre, 45 yrs young, retired Air Force, 21 year reefer…and I like short walks on the beach 😀.

Welcome to the Smorgasbord @Catawba_Valley_Reef
Tank is amazeballs!!!!

Got to stop the fun, I was messaged by someone from Canada yesterday. They messaged me with a politically insulting post. I did not respond to it but reported it. The thread they got it from is old, but had some new posts on it. BeanAnimal tried to cut them short but, guess they took it to direct messaging folks. Danial fixed it right on up. I had to bite my tongue to not reply to this individual, but I am here to learn, share, and have a good time
Totally with you. I had written a long response to someone on here who I felt was being disrespectful of another member. Wound up reporting the conversation instead and showing my message in the report. The moderators sent me a ticket closed message, and I couldn't find the thread anymore so I expect they handled it.

I love your trigger, even if I don't understand him. Such a striking fish.

Also, beautiful sentiments Joel @00W . I feel similarly about this thread.
