Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I can't get the toadstool out because it's attached to two different rocks.
You can very gently peel it off one of the rocks so you can take it out.

Quick question for you guys. When i hang my lights from the roof will it effect the range of the light? Do you guys think this is a bad idea?
Thanks
Cam
If you hang them from the roof, most definitely. However, if you hang them from the ceiling, you will just need to have enough cable/chain/whatever you are hanging it with to get the light down to near the 'recommended' mounting height of your lights.

Wife sent me this one yesterday, she's sad about it because it was her favorite coral.

That's definitely not dead or dying, it's just upset right now

That's what i meant.. the ceiling. I hope RedSea gives enough cable in their kits. Would shades help?

i dont @Rocks reef . i didnt really feel like i had much to tell people! i havent changed anything and all my numbers seem to be holding stable where they usually are. its just 2 of my oldest colonys that ive had for several years have been closed up now for a couple of weeks and seem to be slowly disappearing. i just hope whatever it is doesnt cause me to lose my rastas and vegas strip....
Unfortunately, sometimes zoas just melt. Given the fact that you haven't changed anything. Are you able to take them out to give them a dip?

I knew what you meant Camden, I was just poking the bear. Unless you can get the lights down to a good mounting height, the shades really won't make a difference either way sir.

no its not a mix of zoas. they are the same kind but in 2 different areas. something is going on, i just cant figure out what 🤷‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️
Any fish eating? The zoas I cut the other day. I'm missing two, and I don't know who it was.

Lol why not? They were harvested from a reef within sight of the stadium. Theyre so prevalent here, that's the team name lol. Honestly I was more concerned about the hotdogs
I'm along the lines of sitting out in that heat where they try to mass sell them. I would hesitant of bacterial growth.

Maybe they detached and are blowing around the tank?
