Kessils are one of the few LED lights that have full functionality under manual control. They have ripple lines similar to those from a MH and good German quality and optics. They aren't real powerful but I think more than enough for what I think you envision for your tank. I hope they work out well for you.

I doubt you need it. The one you selected might work. I don't remember the size of your new tank but this pumps minimum output is probably around 650-700 gph so if your tank is 10 gallons this pump would turn over the tank 65-70/hour minimum. That's fairly robust for a tank with softies/LPS in it.

Its not my new tank it's my other pico but they are both 5 gallons. I haven't decided for sure yet if I'm going to do saltwater or freshwater with the new one.

Oh its a HOB filter so adding a nozzle isn't an option.

all that whelk vs Nassarius talk last night I noticed the kids all on the glass this morning. these are Tongan Nassarius from RC. they are larger, smoother shelled, have long eyes, and a longer running tail.

That's what I was thinking as well. The zoas are happy again and this morning for the first time since the crash one of the little red mushrooms are open.
