So it seems to maintain alk and calc levels longer than 2 part? You obviously have much more growth in your tank than I do, and im dosing fusion 2 daily. I guess I could dose more at once and do it less frequently, but im afraid of spiking the levels and believe in a slow and steady approach.

Good morning everyone! Busy day here! Going to work on my freshwater tanks too fast for Black Brush Algea and do some rescaping. Then we have a guy coming to cut down several dead trees that could be a danger to the house/yard or the hunting dogs lots. Also going to shoot our hunting rifles to make sure they are still good before season starts in a couple of weeks. And we have to move the horses from one pasture back to the other one. So if I'm not on much today you all know why. Lol I hope you all have an amazing Saturday!
 
And I just know one of you are going to buy this pretty guy!

You are correct sir, if calcium dips below 420 I add it to the water I’m mixing for a water change. Magnesium is another story, it gets consumed fast for some reason and I have to dose frequently to keep it at 1400 or higher. I realized I had to dose when it was constantly at 1250 and I figured it was my salt mix. My salt mix stated it should mix to 1350 so I mixed up a fresh batch and tested it and it tested at exactly 1350.

Thanks Kevin. This makes perfect sense to me. I think im going to transition to AFR and continue to dose mag as well. I appreciate the info my friend
