It's an IHOP Buttery Syrup coffee day again today. The first two out of the grab bag were Hazelnut Latte (I don't do Hazelnut). The third was a Folgers Half Caff (who buys those?!!??!). Attempt number 4 (when it comes to coffee there's no three strike rule) brought the Buttery Syrup so I brewed it up.

A friend of mine makes it using ghost and habanero peppers. He was waiting for a large batch of peppers and the bottles he gave us hadn’t had labels placed on them yet.

Hey Tim, it’s been awhile since you have posted what your daughter is cooking. Is she still whipping up masterpieces?

Nah. She's in a different class this semester. She doesn't share anymore.

I'm not a fan of the nutty flavored coffees and hazelnut is my least favorite. Don't tell @Fish Styx but the only coffee I like less than Hazelnut is Pumpkin Spice. Specifically Starbucks Pumpkin Spice.

With that said I do occasionally drink hazelnut coffee and even pumpkin spice coffee - after all, I'm not a picky person especially when it comes to coffee. I just tend to not enjoy them as readily as other flavors.

I bought some Southern Pecan the other day. The other supervisor was sitting in my office and asked what was nee in the cabinet. I pulled that one down and decided to give it a try.

Not sure where the Southern or the Pecan were - all I could smell was Hazelnut and he said it tasted very much like Hazelnut.

Oh man, I'm right there with you! It's beginning the Fall season up here and there is Pumpkin Spice stuff everywhere. My wife loves it, me... not so much! She bought some Pumpkin Spice coffee that I won't drink, so I make a separate pot for myself when she does. She also bought pumpkin spice cookies... not a fan!
I'm razzing you on the Hazelnut, it's not in my top 10 either, but I'd rather drink that than anything pumpkin!

Tim, how do you like your Hydros controller? I'm leaning towards going Hydros because it is more user friendly than Apex. Hyrdros uses drop down menus and such

Tim, how do you like your Hydros controller? I'm leaning towards going Hydros because it is more user friendly than Apex. Hyrdros uses drop down menus and such

I like it. I'm not sure if I'd prefer it over Apex or GHL or anything else - my theory with a controller is program it and then leave it alone to tell me when things are or aren't working right.

Apex may be more difficult to set up, but if it's better after the programming is done, Apex would be my preference.

One thing with Hydros - it's so much easier to expand the System in my opinion.
