Yea it's bad.. everything is alive just not growing. Uncle said to do 50% every two days.

The water your adding needs to be consistent with the water you already have. That is certainly enough of a change to cause you some trouble if you're wildly swinging parameters that much and that often. Everything you do to that water can effect your corals. Just keep that in mind when you're making the water, and YOU HAVE to test.

Omi don't have many corals.. so it won't be a big affect.

I think you are ok either way because you don’t have corals. Just match your salinity.

I do 12.5% weekly changes and I never stored it but I believe you can store it in a sealed container up to two weeks before alk begins to drop and minerals start to precipitate.

the ocean salt water they sell at Petco and Petsmart have a long expiration date. Though I don't think I have ever found one less than 1.028. I think it evaps through the plastic.
