Mine has been hanging in the closet since I bought it. Sighted in at 50 yards and never touched it again. I'm thinking about trying to get another black powder elk and using it for that but the thing weighs almost as much as the rifle and is harder to carry.

If your going with that why not just use a Trebuchet?

I almost bought a blunderbuss over seas. really nice Turkish piece with white inlay from the 1800's but I wasn't sure how I'd get that back to the states so I didn't buy it.

Yeah. I'm a 32" draw but typically shoot a 30.5"-31" bow.

Well I haven't used my bow in a couple of years either. Maybe in February or March I'll pick it up and start getting myself and my daughter ready for archery deer in August...

When I shot, many, many years ago, I was a 33" draw (left-handed) but I doubt I could even string one today. Never tried a crossbow.

Let's see if I can make this make sense. During the average day when I'm awake my mind has a ton of thoughts going on in it at all hours the only time my mind is quite or focused on just one thing is when its close to the time that the deer are most active. It's always super peaceful in the woods so sometimes I'm just watching the woods and all the little creatures like birds and squirrels Sometimes I'm talking to God we have had some of our best conversations when I have been up in a tree stand or on the grind in a blind. I do occasionally check in with you guys or play a quick game on my phone but for the most part it's my time to just sit still and be at peace. I hope that makes sense. I do also really like taking pictures and ordered a zoom lens for my phone that I'm super excited about trying on my next trip.

I always called those hours, "crunch time". I get what you mean, absolutely
