Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I don't understand because it used to grow like crazy.. I hope it's not the REEFLEDs I do not wanna have to rebuy new lights..
Do you have enough nitrate and phosphate in your tank? Softies thrive with those on the high end. What levels are they at?
The reason I've done all the WCs recently is cus Nitrates are through the roof. I was told because of how high they are is why nothing is growing.

Turn the white up some of you like the way it looks. It'll make the tank look brighter and most softies are in shallower water so they tend to get more of the white spectrum anyway. Maybe bump whites to 15% or 20% and see what happens?

Not sure who told you that... My Zoas and Mushrooms stopped growing when my nitrates went from flashing to 5. Softies enjoy nutrients. Maybe not super high, but that's their food

Got it. Will do. I like the midrange of blue and white. I guess this is the downfall of these lights. I can't adjust brightness and color separately. Tempted to sell them and buy an upgraded version of kessils like the 260s. If those even exist. Whatever comes after the A160s.

I believe you were told to bring them down to help with your algae problem. @kingranch2003 runs his very high as well and look at his tank.

Yes yes that is the reason. But the algea is non-existent.

White and blue is all you need to adjust. White is typically 6700 Kelvin which is a mix of red, green, white, and blue. Adding the blue allows you to push more towards the 10,000K, 14,500k, or 20,000k that a lot of us older reefers used to run with T5s and Metal Halides.

I ran Mazon special and Chinese black box LEDs for years and grew mushrooms out of control at around 100% blue and 45% white.

Describe your food meal and I’ll post a picture for you.

I had a 75 tall (not a common tank dimension) with a single 130 watt with two dials.
