Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
moderator only to my kids. when they listen!
I read on the interweb that kids listen better if their food is cut up to bite size pieces. 😉

nope. the first vein had no blood. had to move to another. I'm wondering if I'm dehydrated now. as in, need an IV of fluids. I drink and flow, but feel like I just may be at a low level. I'll add that to my inquiry list. it can't hurt to get some IV fluids right?
Yeah buddy, it sounds like that would help. I surely hope it does

They said Bristletooths? I can see an issue with a Scopas or Sailfin or Desjardini or Purple or Yellow, even a Gem as they are similar but I don't know of any long nose Bristletooths.
yup. bristle and purple they said have a similar facial structure and may not like each other.

why do you think I've been doing it so long?
When you come over I may do the same!

they had a nice 2 spot bristle about 2" long. when I inquired they said may not work with the purple
I was confused. I thought we were talking about a CBB with a Bristletooth, sorry. I would agree on almost anything other than a Great White or a Frogfish with a Purple. Meanest fish I ever owned, and I owned two of them in different tanks.

yes, they said CBB as well. it's the shape.

I agree the Purple is a Zebrasoma species and a mean one at that. The CBB is similar enough it is a no go. I forgot you've got a Purple. Look for short snout stocky fish to go with it or perchers.

Yep.

With a purple I'd go for a large manta ray, electric eel or, as Tom mentioned, a great white shark 🦈 😀.
Seriously, depending on tank size, which, apologies I forget yours, cube?? 65 gallon, sorry Paul my brain doesn't work that well anymore, too much restaurant, I'd go for a dwarf angel, they can take care of themselves and can be quite aggressive.
I had a African flame back for years.
Tiny guy but mean as all get out.
Or just let the purple be queen.

You guys look at this crazy sweet lips and what she's been doing. I put SL in the corner on an empty sandbed area. She would drift a bit like Tom said may happen.

I woke up this morning to this!! She had decided to puff up to the size of a large golf ball and lay in the scoly. Every time I move her over, she just heads right back. This plate may end up on a frag plug.
