Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I use this company's food, but It's the shrimponly formula. Everything eats it and I feed it to my corals. Good choice

Yeah that heater is much smaller than mine too. Mine is 11 inch x 1inch x 1inch and the hygger one seems to be 9.8 inches by 0.75 inch so it may actually fit.

I honestly go back and forth between that and Mexican for my favorite food types. Last night we had homemade hibachi, and man, it was so good (wife's uncle made it).

That looks absolutely incredible. I see the yum yum sauce. That is a must!

Good morning all you friends of the fish!

Hope Monday served you well and Tuesday is starting off better than Monday.

I printed my first thing off of my first 3D printer. It’s something I thought my wife would like and, in a rare instance, I was right. She loves it!

First pic, the ornament is sandwiched between breakfast for size reference.

Second and third pics are more for color as the first pic doesn’t show the actual color very well.

And all I printed was an Algae Scrubber...

If its for a fish Tank you SHOULDNT use PLA .PETG IS PREFERRED

I definitely may pick up the hygger titanium heater. I just need to make sure it fits in the return section. Right now one of the slots in my AIO is just for my heater because the silly thing can't fit in the middle chamber & I am worried about the heater touching the pumps tubing or the pump itself. I am not too worried about the water level since I have an ATO but this one looks much skinner than the one I have.
I have the 100w and it has a very slim profile, and the controller is fantastic

PETG doesn't have an order either; it's about on par with PLA. Never printed with ABS as my nozzle isn't powerful enough to do ABS
PETG has an odor, especially if printing in an enclosure. However, it is not overly offensive and really is only noticeable when you open the enclosure.

Also for filament. I don't know how much research you have done, but I would stick with PLA for a little bit. It's much easier to print with and generally has less room for error. Once you get into denser filaments such as PETG, ABS, or TPU, then errors are more frequent. This is due to those filaments having a higher melting point, thus requiring your base plate and nozzle to be hotter. There are pros and cons to all the filaments. These two websites below have great charts showing the difference between all the major filaments. I am always happy to answer any questions you or anyone might have! 3D printing is an amazing hobby to get into, and I always recommend people of any age to get into it.

I only use PETG because it stands up to saltwater easier than PLA and because it's what I bought. Mainly the second part.

Red? Any particular reason you went with red? (Looks like it could be a winner!)
It was the roll that had the most filament remaining. It was a toss up between red and purple and red won by a few grams.

I really hope it works for you buddy. Amazon and Walmart.com sell them ime

Yeah I just ordered one on Amazon & it is going to arrive tomorrow lol.

Anyone out there have flavored coffee other than whiskey 🥃?
No. (Of course, our resident coffee snob, @tbrown drinks all kinds of un-manly coffee.)
I drink a lot of varieties of coffee. However, most of them are very manly (or at least, they're flavored but no cream or sugar).

I drink black coffee primarily, but all different flavor varieties of black coffee.

All of the filaments have an odor. You can't really melt plastic without some odor. PLA and PETG and their derivatives are not objectionable and more importantly not very toxic. ABS and ASA are toxic and people have gotten ABS or ASA poisoning from printing them without ventilation. Admittedly they probably printed a lot. What is really nice with ABS is that it can post-process to a very smooth finish. Just make sure you set up ventilation.

Not just any yum yum, it was the spicy kind. Added a good kick to the meal!

That's why I have a roll of PETG too. I have it for joints and anything I need that has to do with water.

Fair enough! Maybe I'm just nose blind to the smell of it, haha

Still can’t believe he passed away this year, I was completely shocked when it happened
I was gutted. I loved his music and personality. My kids are huge fans, also. But could you imagine dialing it up any better as a rock star? You and three of your hometown buddies start a band and basically take over the music world. 60 years later, you give a farewell concert and are at least just as popular and pass away right after. He was a lifer for sure.

It hit me because we would not have the kind of metal and rock music we have today without him. The whole landscape of modern metal music came from him, and there are countless bands that contribute their success to him. Not to mention, like a week or two later, Hulk Hogan dies, too, one of the greatest wrestlers ever. Crazy year for sure

I think there were many people that were shocked. Especially with him having just put on the concert.

He achieved legendary status, in my book, which is something not easily attained.
It's a short list Im sure... with Ozzy and myself right at the top. :)
