Yea, I had a monster lurking around my property but never got him out during daylight hours... we only get one buck and can get a couple doe tags, but our deer are bigger, and fewer up here. Hes probably pushing 180-200Lb. I have a picture of him on my laptop from 22 or 23, and he was a heavy bodied 8 pointer then.

That's a big deer! Hopefully you get him next year!

All of ours are crate trained i use to work at a vet and it was always so much harder for the dogs that came in hurt or sick to heal if they were not use to being in a crate. They all sleep in creates at night except my big girl Tara. She sleeps in the bedroom on a big orthopedic dog bed.

Ru destroyed her crate. Like bit through the bars and broke the welds. I tie wired the thing up so she couldnt bend the panels out of the way and she broke all that as well. So, she sleeps on the couch. I gave it a few weeks and like 3 or 4 crates before I gave up. She was really good about it up until she turned 2 and got a taste of sleeping on the bed... then she said never again.

I need a tractor in the worst way! I'd love to plant a few clover plots. Hopefully your spot settles down and the deer move back in. They like the wood lots once things start sprouting again

Yes there are a few places that should be good next year for tree stand hunting if the weeds and brush grow like we think it will.

I wanna build a nice enclosed elevated shack. Something that will be heated and my boy can come with me as soon as possible, and grow up hunting out of it. If I get to it or not, we'll see. At the very least i'll cut some trees and some shooting lanes this spring

If I were closer I would let you borrow our tractor. Heck I would even come help you. I'm really good at handing tools. Lol

Thank you! I'm hoping they decide my cpap machine is the reason I have not been sleeping well and have been so tired lately. That way it will be an easy fix and I can start feeling more like myself again.
