Good morning everyone, and happy Monday! Getting back to doing quotes and song suggestions today!
So I am going to steal our church's message/theme for the quote today because I think it was good and is applicable to all of us. Headlines. We all see them in the news, in articles, and even in R2R posts. We see a post, and it says HELP, and we expect it to be something bad. However, it is not always bad; sometimes it might be a simple error in making saltwater. What about the news? "Eat more of THIS and have a long life", and it ends up being eat more fruits and vegetables, which is something we all should eat. Now where am I getting with all of this? A lot of us will simply look at the title of something, the baseline description, or the "headline" of something and run with it without truly seeing what the whole thing is about. Even towards people, we do this. We see someone is downcast for the day, we write it off as they are just not nice people, and we continue on with our day. If we would take a second, dive a little deeper into what we see, hear, and read, we might get the bigger picture. As you go throughout today, just remember not to try to be surface-level with the people you meet, and try not to read the title of something and run with it. Try to dive a little deeper in everything you do, and you might surprise yourself with what you find or learn.
