Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
My scooter blenny and bumblebee snails love them too. I always feel bad for the snails lol
All my fish love to eat them as well as clown fish eggs.

@tharbin and anyone else interested here are my current lights that I would like to add the orphek lights to. Something that would hold all 3 lights would be awesome but not sure if it's possible. Please ignore the dust I cleaned them after the pictures. I have to get up on a step stool to reach them and didn't realize how dusty they had gotten.

Are those Red Sea ReefLED 90s?

Yes they are.
Thanks those mount arms look like a challenge but I do have a couple of ideas that might work.

Two other questions:

- What is the model of light you want to add (including length) and do you want it in front or behind the ReefLED 90s?

Its the OR4 120.

Do you run a Hydros Collective?
I have a Controller and a wifi power strip. I had two and this was to replace one that failed. I have an email in to the company

What I'm thinking is a 3d printed clamp for the ReefLED 90 mount arm with a countersunk screw in it to attach to this mount that should be included with your OR4. That will not destroy your mounting arms and it will allow you to angle the strip light. The main thing is that I think it will end up hanging lower than your ReefLED 90s.

I don't have access to any ReefLED 90s to check but it is also possible that a hole could be drilled in the arm for a screw and then use the mount below to screw it directly to the arm which would put it closer to the height of the ReefLED 90s.

Any better ideas?

I think that would work! Let me know how much it will be and I can venmo you or PayPal you or something. Lol

I'll need some time to get some measurements and such. I did double check and it looks like they made two different mounts for the ReefLED 90s. Yours appear to be the newer one and it doesn't look like drilling is possible so clamps it is.

No rush at all and thank you!

Well went a little cray cray in Cleveland with my son spending. I am that much closer to being Joel, yellow tang ( Biota) , blue head fairy wrasse, cleaner wrasse and the craziest color feather duster with yellow feathers, never saw one like it before.

Oh my gosh can't wait to see them in your new big tank!!!

There is also this solution from Orphek that would also allow you to position your light bar in front of the ReefLEDs

Orphek Mount
I love the way that looks but I don't know if it will work with my glass lid or if it would work because the tank is 6ft but the light is only 4ft long. Do you think it would work?

Does your glass lid have cutouts for your Red Sea mounts?

Never mind, just saw your new post. Clamps it is.
