Gorgeous fish! It seems like the damsel is his buddy. They're in every picture together!

I am so tempted to get a ruby red dragonet & a leopard wrasse to see if I can pull that off in the 80G. I will be culturing around 1 billion tisbe pods and phyto before I add any though and I will have a fuge in the back of the tank as well.

I am also considering a Biota Yellow Tang or possible a Biota yellow and Kole or Tomni (the Whitetail Bristletooth Tang is awesome).... I just don't know if I can get that to work. Two Tangs in a 4 foot tank. I mean maybe its fine.

My favorite fish is Ant the Mandarin.

If someone couldn't do it with that setup and such a steady supply of pods and phyto, how else would you do it? I think you've paid your dues. Go get your fish!

Well slight problem. I have not got the tank yet, or rock, or sand, or added the pods. The tank does arrive tomorrow and I am culturing the pods and phyto already so yeah! :D but I hear dragonets are easier to get on frozen than mandarins.

Quick question for you peeps. Are lights important before introducing fish? I was planning on moving two clownfish over into the new tank after it cycles for a month or two so I don't have to keep dosing ammonia to keep the cycle going but I was not planning on turning the lights on for a while. Before adding more fish I would have my main lights but just thinking of ways to keep the cycle going. I mean it will get ambient light from the room its in and I could through on a really tiny light in the meantime that's meant for a 10 gallon tank (lol) I just was planning on waiting to get nicer lights.

Fish, no. Corals, yes.

Fish are NPS so they don't need a light BUT it makes it easier to see them.

No but in all seriousness it won't mess with their day night cycle then? I mean two clowns are pretty hardy.

I think some light is a good idea with fish just so they have some regularity but it doesn't need to be much, just something to differentiate nighttime from daytime in the tank.

got all the synthetic underlayment for my re-underlayment my roof.// Gonna start next weekend..
No way am I paying 20K plus for someone to do it...
Air compressor- 2, CHECK
nail guns and staple guns CHECK ..
helpers to clean up the old tar paper once it comes off the roof- CHECK
ribs and bourbon for my helpers -CHECK

Mine and my wife's eat absolutely anything. Pellets included

the mandarins here eat frozen mysis and blood worms...they love the worms alot...they come up to eat with the copper band butterfly..

and it is a single level so falling off the roof doesn't hurt...

It can, that's the only concern. You wouldn't want them in pure darkness. But if your lights in that room are on during the day it should be enough for them.
