Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I wish I had a wall to put the tank that would be so cool . You think you’re going that way . And do you have a drain in that room ?
I have a full basement underneath. I'll put my mixing station directly underneath it, and use my pump i have now(reeflo hammerhead) to pump water up for water changes and i'll pipe a drain down. Got a lot of planning to do though. My build thread is the "shoulda/coulda" and this one will be my "did it right this time" thread 🤣

Finally… ugh… I’m tired now lol. That was more complicated than I thought it would be. The instructions are a bit outdated and same with the video but it is done. Glass will be placed later today as I have someone coming as I would rather be safe than sorry when lifting it.

The recent models of the Reeflo pumps are known to have seal issues if not matintained fairly regularly. Probably worth the little bit of time to pull it apart and do a little maintenance on it.

How recent? I got lucky and was able to return the first one that came wjth a crappy Chinese motor and got kne of the last available baldor motor versions!

You should do a tank reveal with the planning , execute , and finish .

NICE!!

Once I get my layout figured out and a design I may or not make a thread. I'm open to any and all input. I have a lot of things I dislike about my current setup, and I dont want those issues with this system. Problem is if I make a thread and dont commit, then @That Crusso Kid will harass me for dropping the ball and abandoning my build thread haha

Yeah, and use blue or pink in the poppers that you shoot off. Or whatever color the non-binary people use.

That's the least of your concerns.

I am not too sure on the "recentness" of the Reeflo pumps but do believe within the last 5 years or so.

Did you guys know that if you place an order with corals.com and then device you want to add something else you can as long as your orders not shipped yet? So here's what I decided I just had to add on since my husband's giving me money for Valentines Day.

I did have a small leak pretty quick and reached out to reeflo, and they sent me a new seal. I havent done anything with it since, and it hasnt gotten any worse. Its literally a bit of salt creep that is always there, if I wipe it off, it comes back, if I dont touch it it stays exactly the same and never grows.... it makes no sense
