Yeah I was surprised. They usually are $185 not including shipping so for $150 already local in a tank with corals chilling I was like were do I sign. It was the first time I saw some at that store and I can only go there on weekends as it is an hour away and only open when I am at work. So I said lets add it, put it in the 25 and get the Fritz turbo to jump start the 80G. It will probably be the third fish in my tank after the two clowns move over. Its so small too.

Big thing is do not drip acclimate Biota fish from online. They add something to the water so if you expose it to air and drip the fish will die (maybe not right away but in a couple days or a week or two). They do ship their fish in 1.026. This guy I got from my LFS, but I know this from when I got my Biota Mandarin and its on their website for all their fish lol.

Make sure to document it though if there is a claims process. If the flesh band is entirely gone on the hammer it may be too far gone. With euphilya I have not had much success every if it starts with no flesh band.

It’s the tissue connecting the coral to the hard portion or Skelton. Here is an example. I’ll edit this and add a bad looking one.

This one is bad below. It’s entirely receded and will likely bail out or just melt away. Not all corals have the largest flesh band but if it’s entirely gone then it’s very hard to recover.

Oh jeez I don't know if it's there.. they retract right? It looks nothing like that second one. It looks worse then the head on the bottom of the coral. But it's polyps aren't completely gone.

The flesh band does not go away when it retracts. If it’s stressed it can pull tight to the Skelton making it look like it’s gone when it’s not. If it’s a very dark color around the edges then there is a good chance it’s gone. It’s usually a light color. Pictures would help too.

It's been a busy day so far, haha. I wanted to tell you that some of my dad's corals died, so I decided to give him one of my oldest rocks with all the corals on it. It's also something new for my tank now, and little by little I'll see what new things I can add to give it a different look

That looks practically a goner. I would put it in very low flow and very low light. I would also see if there is a claims process to get a replacement as it’s basically dead.

Maybe some others can chime in. It may be best to not even add it to the tank depending on the size of the tank.

Put at the bottom of the tank where there is little to no flow and some light but not very much. I'll let you know. It does not seem to be getting better whatsoever
