My brother just moved from NYC to open an office in San Fran. So he is about to experience the same thing of working on EST time in PST. He would rather be in Florida but don't tell anyone that lol

It's a struggle. I had to give a presentation today 6:30 in the morning so have to get the kids dressed and ready super early.

Not in the system we use currently but in the wastewater side, yes. When we build our surface water treatment plant there will be some use of "bugs" I assume, yes.

I am REALLY digging deeper into bacteria research as I feel most tanks need a healthier bacteria biome. I've been reading stuff from Salem Clemens, Allan Vo, Dong Zou to name a few as well as saltwater fish and shrimp farms that are starting to use bacteria in their fry/growout systems.

Bambu uses a different nozzle style. The ones on my A1 look like this:

Yes PETG does use different temperatures from PLA but your slicer software should already have pretty good profiles for PETG. PETG can print just fine with any nozzle from .2 to .8. I usually use the standard .4 as a good compromise between performance and quality.

If your using Creality filament and the Creality slicer the profiles should be very good. In my experience when using other brands of filament the generic settings for a filament type (like generic PETG) are usually very good and will produce a useable print. If you have a filament you really like and plan to use often you can run temperature tower and flow calibration prints to fine tune the profile for that filament and save it as a new profile. I do think that many profiles set the bed temperature for PETG lower than I like it. I usually set the bed temp to 70 and a lot of profiles use 60 or 65, or at least they used to.

I didn't realize that. so if the printer recognizes their own filament as PETG it should automatically set the correct temps? the nozzle that came with it is .4mm OK, I just did a quick check and that apparently should be the case. their own PETG is recognized but 3rd part may not be. so I guess I now have bonus nozzles and a ceramic heating block to use with 3rd party PETG.

No, I leave it out so it stays warm. Bacteria proliferate in warmer water. Putting them in the fridge, they go dormant.

I'm assuming this was answered already BUT PETG doesn't need a different size nozzle. Temp and speed will be different between PLA and PETG, yes. Larger nozzle size will allow for faster print times because you can print it thicker/taller layers but it will also make the layer lines more noticeable.

yeah, I just saw Tom's post. I think I have Creality's black, clear and a fluorescent. I'll try joining something small first. I need to print a stand for my skimmer. I still have it elevated on PVC pipe to get the overflow hose high enough on an angle out of the sump.
