Mine usually hovers between 140 and 300 depending on time of year.
Wow, that is really good. I've never seen it below 450 down here and in the 200-400s up in Phoenix. Average here is in the 700-1,000 range the last decade or so.

its basically well water, the county pumps from a well to the tower, treats it with chlorine (at the moment) and then pipes it to us

I don't even know what it do the fish medics had nothing for me.
I'm just going to share my experience, I hope this doesn't happen to you.

I had gotten a single Lyretail anthias awhile ago and I never saw it eat. It hid. Fish medics had nothing as well. She had no signs of visible disease. Eventually, she got to the point where I was able to touch her. I put her in a QT tank but she unfortunately passed overnight. Still to this day have no idea what happened. Where did you get yours from? This one was from a LFS that I will not longer by fish from because I've seen disease in the tanks many times since this purchase. I now have 2 female and one male in my tank that have thrived since day one, sources from a much better fish store.

I'm wondering if maybe the poor anthias had something wrong to begin with, maybe from enduring extreme amounts of stress from the fish store, internal parasites, etc.

Luckily, this mysterious illness did not spread to any other of the fishes in the tank which leads me to believe it passed away due to prior stress. I can't remember exactly how long I had her but it could have been 1-2 weeks if I'm remembering correctly and I didn't see her eat once.

Keep us updated.

Well the picture was gorgeous so I wouldnt change much!
Thank you my friend! I am loving all the corals I've added and looking forward to adding more this week when they arrive! I just hope they all survive because it's going to be a while before i can spend any more money on corals. Lol

I hope that's not the case here. I don't understand what it's doing.
