The Pintail is doing great. It wakes up before lights on and just slowly cruises the tank. During the day it tends to hang out up by the gyre or over the center ledge/frag rack on the back wall. It dives right in when I feed the frozen mysis and it has learned to eat TDO. It loves freeze-dried black worms. Its one issue is that the Bristletooth bugs it a little, but then it bugs everyone a little, not on purpose but it likes to follow the other fish around like an over-size puppy dog and it unnerves them sometimes. I'll try to get a pic after the lights are full on but it tends to hang out where it is hard to get a decent smartphone shot.

Im glad to hear it's doing well. In my observations, they are sleek and graceful fish. Hopefully Mr bristletooth with get over it!

Yes id love to see a pic of him. Blurry wrasse shots are always accepted (expected) !

My all time favorite sandwich. I’ll be eating those on the 17th, 18th a19th! The Mrs. makes killer Ruben’s.

Great looking fish! The pink goes great with the yellow chrysus. That seems like a peaceful combo. My McCosker's and yellow get along great too.

I was going to buy a McCosker's but I was at my favorite LFS looking at corals and snails (I needed a few more Bumblebee Snails) when I saw the Pintail. Since it had been in their tank for about two months and was happily eating mysis and brine, I couldn't pass it up. It's pretty tame and comes over when we approach the tank but like all of our fish except the chrysus runs for cover when it sees a camera. The purple stripes really glow in the lights but the camera doesn't catch it.

The Pintail is much more laid back than the chrysus.

The chrysus sleeps in until 10 am or so and goes to bed around 8 pm and is constantly cruising like:



while the Pintail is up by 8 am slowly surveying the tank and goes to bed around 9 pm and moseys around like:

I wanted a McCosker's earlier on, but I couldn't have passed on the pintail if I had seen one in person before I got him.

My chrysus is similar in hours, but goes down between 6 and 7pm. The McCosker's is the nightowl

Ok, bad humor aside. Yes a carpenters wrasse, very reclusive the first 2-3 weeks but now out and about all the time.

I love my leopard wrasse... just did a water change of about 15 gallons. My sixline still spends a lot of time hiding but I did see him a few times today.
