No shell either!? Did you have the octo at the time?

no. I had it siting on the top rocks and it vanished. I looked all around. I'd have to dig under the sand everywhere which I did not do. but it was probably 1.5". literally it was over night. sand really isn't that deep to hid it and could locate it in crevices or between rocks. I should've seen it. (maybe that;s why I had not seen the horseshoe in so long?

I’ve been looking at their clams for a while. I will be getting a maxima as soon as I have 300 par at the top. They have some awesome colored derosa, might need one of those for the sand if I have enough light. I know they are less light requiring than the maxima.

With clams can you glue them to the rock work or do they have to pick their spot like nemes do?

I wonder what a derasa 's desired par is. Could you place one low on the rockwork, or does it have to be in sand?

no. no glue!. they attach themselves when happy. but they have special rocks to attach so you can move around if desired

I think the more par the better, but a good parfait is best!

No glue, they attach to the rock but unlike nems they stay put.

Derosa and sqaumosa sand. Maxima and crocea on the rock. I believe the Sqaumosa requires the least par of the four but it’s still quite a bit. Sqaumosa look more like maxima.
