Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Do they normally have that yellow dot? I can't seem to find any pictures head on, I thought it was neat like a birthmark lol
I have never noticed one on mine I will look closer when I get home later.

I hope you appreciate how much effort it took to find step aerobics, with 80s music, shot on a Wednesday.

It ain't much but it's all I could afford for your birthday
Oh, I noticed and appreciate the time and effort.

Happy birthday Chris!

Thank you, Kev!

It's a good thing I paid the extra $10 for before 12pm delivery because the FoxFaces bag had an active leak. The hawkfish is so tiny maybe 2" at most.

What's the consensus here, do you all drip acclimate shipped fish or not due to the ammonia risk. I've never ordered fish online other than once with Biota when they first started shipping YT's and both attempts were DOA.

I drip acclimated my SWF.com order because the salinity was waaaay low.I still ended up losing 4 of the 5 fish I ordered 😑

What was the reason? Disease or just didn't eat?

FoxFace is larger than what I ordered, 5"+ I guess I can't complain but it'll be cramped in the observation tank lol and here's the tiny little hawkfish that would definitely fit through my IM's cover but should be ok with the fine mesh on the Kraken lid for the nano for now.

Is that a baby fullsize hawk or a pygmy? Im loving my little pygmy hawk.

Last one, I promise i'm too excited. Polyp for scale

Gorgeous fish my man! They look really healthy too. Now I see the answer to my hawk question lol

I ordered it as a "Longnose Hawkfish" so I sure hope it was a full size lol because I don't think it'll last if it stays this tiny in the display with the sixline and Angel.

No clue on the first two wrasse. They never came out and died within 12 hours. The next shipment to replace them had one wrasse die from Unknown neurological wrasse disease, and a cleaner goby came in so small he was probably eaten by a copepod. I just never saw him again. They did issue credits however.

Yeah it definitely is. I just hadnt seen the Pic yet. He's stunning

Most of the ones in the LFSs around here come in about that size and they are regular longnoses.

I just threw in a tiny bit of Emerald Entree while feeding the main display and the Foxface gobbled it all up so I'm hopeful it's healthy and disease free.

The Hawkfish didn't bat an eye so I'll try some baby brine tomorrow, fingers crossed it eats but it will likely stay in this nano for a while.

The sticks are in! Folks all I can say is Adam at Battlecorals is the real deal. I have a more detailed list of what they all are, and some more detailed pictures on my build thread.

Beautiful and very nice size frags unlike the 0.5" nubs you get from some places 🤣

I think that's common for hawkish based on what im reading. The foxface at that size should be in good health man, all looks good to me.

I could not believe the size of these frags! I almost need more room for them already. I paid $300 shipped for everything and the value there is unbelievable. He gave me 8 massive, colorful, hand selected frags!

Ya if you managed to get similar sized frags from one of the few "big names" out there it would easily be double that price.

There is the ever-so-slight chance that the goby is still in there but maybe you never see him.

@That Crusso Kid Happy birthday my man! I hope today is memorable for all the right reasons. Make this your best trip around the sun yet!

Thanks John!

It's shaping up to be a good and memorable day, so far. I've yelled at three people to "GET OFF MY LAWN" and received numerous texts, emails, phone calls and, of course, R2R birthday wishes.

We will be having cake soon too!

I can attest, I was one of those that got yelled at.
