Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Went into work this morning. Got a message to meet my supervisor. They are removing me from management and sending me back to the floor. In the plus side, they gave me this week off. I start the new shift a week from tomorrow. Also I will be working under my former manager and we get along great. Definitely some stuff about this unit and managing that I won't miss.

I guess as long as your happy about it then it's ok.

Ok Smorgs....
I've never ordered fish to be shipped before. Anything special I need to do besides acclimate? I know they are coming from Live Aquaria...but... I'm hopeful!

Hopefully it works out for the best. Management is not for me ever again

Only reason I used them is I had to burn a gift certificate before it expired on 4/8/26.

Two methods.... temp acclimate and plop right in which I've done before successfully but if salinity is way way low I like to drip acclimate. My tank is at 1.026 but my Saltwaterfish.com order came in at 1.018. It's much more stressful on fish going up in salinity than it is going down so I put a little bit of Seachem prime in bucket to hopefully aid in ammonia issue and drip acclimated for 30min and in they went. Both methods worked just fine for me.

When I have fish shipped I do not drip acclimate because when you open the bag it can cause an ammonia spike, if its a super delicate fish and you want to drip acclimate I would add seachem prime or your ammonia remover of choice to the water they are in as soon as you open it.

White Tail Bristletooth is a very good option and a workhorse for algae.
I've been advised not too but I'm rethinking everything currently.

Its my understanding that Lemarck's need at least 150 gallons as they grow very large. I thought about one for my 125 until I researched them. They get up to 9 inches and in my opinion that's too big for a 125.
The one my seller has, it's stayed at 6 inches for a long long time now. It's more 2 years old. I'll have to ask for it's age. It's tank is large too so it's not stunted.

I am actually doing this exact thing.

Still a big fish for your size tank in my opinion.

Yep. I'll have to do more research and see if they've ever been kept in my size tank before. Jay Hemdal said my dimensions were fine but I'd have to scrutinize it.

Just because it has been done before doesn't mean it should be done.

My order arrived today. I’m adding stuff other than euphyllia!

And these coming also this week on Thursday...
ZOOM!

My wife would disagree! Personally, a chili dog with cheese and onions...yes please!
But no bread because of the BING, BANG, ZIP, ZOOM!

I guess so 👀. Last stocking options have been hard to say the least.

Ok, but don't you have a 55 gallon which is 18" wide?
