John... or anyone with Acans. Where do you have your placed at? I know they are a 'lower' light coral.

Sand bed, under a ledge is where I keep mine but I've never had good luck with them.

Yes. Burning Banana and Electric Daisy. I also have a pure white Darth Maul Porites... It's not dead but it's definitely bleached or something.

Have you moved it into low light yet?

The Porites is in complete shade from my Birdsnest.

Electric Daisy is at the top of my tank growing on the back wall but doesn't get a lot of light - it's shaded by the Plank Autofeeder.

Burning Banana is about 2" off the sand bed but almost directly underneath one of the two lights.

Do you guys think conches can get stuck? My biggest yesterday was between one of my overflows and my rocks. He was still there this morning so I got a net because I could not reach him and nudge him back away from the rock and then scooped him up and moved him to a more open area. Do I need to rearrange rocks so it doesn't get wedged in somewhere again? Or do they have the ability to go backwards? It took more force than I thought it should to get him from between the rock and overflow so now I'm worried he might get stuck again.

It is possible but it usually happens when they fall into a crevice and don't have anything solid to grab onto. They can back up and even raise up about forty-five degrees if needed. They are surprisingly agile.

I guess they go into a food coma like Kevin said. I'm still learning about them since it's my first one but they're a must have in any tank now.

They do just go dormant from time to time just like many crabs and humans, I think we call it Thanksgiving Hangover. They just call it why waste energy when I'm nice and full.

Can you move the porites out from the shade?

I'm actually preparing to move the shade out of the water. It's overgrown my tank so I'm going to remove the colony and put a new frag in its place.

Any reason why he always acts hungry? Anytime I feed anything he acts savage. Is the tank stressing him? Y'all got me paranoid now lol.

I'm not familiar with your particular Wrasse but active fish usually need multiple feedings throughout the day.

Marble wrasse/checkerboard wrasse. oversized for my tank.

I think they are fairly active and in their nature to hunt for food all day so that's something difficult to achieve in our tanks vs nature which is why they probably need multiple feedings.

He's like a dog. One of the reasons I love him so much is that behavior. Always excited to see me cus he knows I feed him lol. He dosent react to anyone else, its the same with my hawkfish. They both come up to the glass.

I think it should be okay to take out the rocks.
