It's the only way I'll drink corona and even then its not often haha. It's funny, plain? I hate corona. Lime and salt just make it so much better. I also like the green bottle dos equis with salt and lime.

Yes, that's why I suggested magnesium. Magnesium leaching into the tank at a semi controlled rate - basically it would be a form of magnesium dosing. The question is, though, what other minerals and materials would be released into the water as it corrodes and leaches.

We could try it in Steven's tank as a test?

This isn't possible. The rate would not be controllable plus, and more importantly, your other statement.
