not all power strips are created the same, need to look at how many amps they can carry, the higher the amperage, the higher the cost

Not sure how many the original one was rated for. I will be sure the new one is higher. The tank has a skimmer, return pump, lights, two heaters, UV light and that is about all. But it is a 270ish gallon square tank. And I have no idea how old anything is.

It appears the wall socket can handle the amperage for the tank, I would get a more heavy duty power strip from a big box home store, they don't look like the average power strip and can easily handle higher amperage without tripping. Most homes have 10 to 15 amp wall receptacles. so most home use power strips are not rated for more than that . I would also check to see if when you plug it into the wall socket that it does not slide in easily and feel loose. If so the wall receptacle needs replaced.

Keeping us busy! Little dude is 6 months already. So hard to believe.

This tank is in a veterinarian clinic. The electrical box comes from the floor. And up into the tank cabinet. Nothing was loose. I believe I can sort out the power strip now.

Just hoping to get personal information input on a way to get alerts. I never want this to happen again.

Context of this post. The cake in front wasn't a "Cake", it was a butternut squash with some whipped cream on it. Did he try the whipped cream? No, he was too busy making a mess. Also had to end the photo shoot early because he toppled backward off the blanket into the yard. He was fine, just ready to be done after that.
