I considered similar but when Inkbird loses connection (power strip turns off) would it notify you anymore? The Kasa or Hydros sends a notification that they're disconnected after 5 minutes or so of no response to the cloud I believe.

Good question Tim. I would make the assumption that you would receive a notification on your phone if you loss the Bluetooth connection to it. I don't know for sure though, that it would.

Heading down to find my family there out there somewhere. Another uncle arrives today and is staying the week and one of the cousins that were here Sunday is coming for the day. Charted a boat for 3 hours yesterday, all nine of us are going, it will take us to an island. The captain seems seasoned. The first mate, Gillian seems nice but we think he’s on the spectrum.

Steven, it is. Synced SDC 7.0, the tank was just set earlier this year. I have a camera setup where I can watch it live but it’s not a great view of the corals but what I can see looks good, thanks.

Kev, I had a similar issue with an SDC 6.0 six or so months ago. It just stopped running. I cleaned it and restarted it and it worked fine, for a few days then it did it again. This happened four or five times. I never found the issue but it was in the pump, not the controller. I ended up buying a new SDC 6.0 and replaced the pump. There was no discernable buildup in my pump either. One of these days I will buy a replacement impeller to try to troubleshoot the original pump again. Have your son keep an eye on it. It may stop again, I hope not.

I admit that this could be an unorthodox approach, but what about a bluetooth inkbird temperature controller? You'd get an alert when the temperature began to fall if it lost power. You'd be looking at $40 or $50. This paired with the kasa strips that Tim mentioned should do it

Worth looking into. I did just add an inkbird to their heaters.

That's right my friend. It has a phone app that you can download to control it.

@NanoSteam I just dubbed a great video of a complainant staring at her phone as she tripped over her open toe sandals and fell down the stairs. I wish they were all this easy!

Yes you can sign into the same account. It also works on Alexa, Google assistant etc

I'm not positive on that. I think Hydros you have to be logged into the app for push notifications. Same with the Kasa stuff usually. I believe Kasa can't be on multiple phones, only 1.

Ok, this sounds better than the ones I use. I have a generic brand and if I add the device to my wife's phone it disconnects from mine.

I have set of Rockville speakers I bought when we 1st moved here in 2021. They are definitely blown. My fish are really unhappy that the bass line both sounds terrible and drowns everything else out . They live right by those speakers . Does anyone have a recommendation for speakers that are decent quality, but won't break the bank?

Not anymore. A few years ago I would have recommended SVS but their prices have gone up substantially.
