Wire goes from projector straight to the first speaker
Here's the wire at the projector

Then I guess the 1st speaker has an amp inside? That supports both speakers (shrug). This the connection on the back of the 2nd speaker.

Yup, sounds like there's an internal amp so you'll need an all in one solution like I linked because a separate amp would cost too much

Klipsch have always fought above their weight class in my opinion. I used Klipsch exclusively for decades but they do have a sound profile that is a little different from most of the other manufacturers so I would suggest pop into a Best Buy or whatever and give them a listen before deciding.

I happen to really like the sound of Klipsch, except I think their subwoofers are a little underwhelming.
Ya the Klipsch sound is unique because of the horn design... you either love it or hate it, definitely try before buy IMO.

Trying to be sure I understand your setup. What is the HDMI cable connected to? A cable/satellite box or something else?

Does one of the two speakers have an AC power cord?

It looks like a powered speaker setup but I'd like to be sure. Also does your projector have Bluetooth capability?

So, clean slate I guess

That's a thought. My brother has a Bose Bluetooth speaker that has great sound

Yp, clean slate which is a good place to be.

AS mentioned previously, you're best bet it to stop by a local store where you can "test drive" some different makes and models.

Im a sucker for the old audio wooden cabinets, but Bluetooth is so much cheaper/efficient in a smaller profile.

Just got a call from my LFS. I had asked for a price on a Ruby Red Dragonet a couple of weeks ago and when they seen their supplier had then back in stock when they placed their order for the store they ordered one for me because I had forgotten to let them know I already got one. Thankfully from what I have read it will be fine with the other one especially since my tanks the size it is. No idea yet if it is another female or a make but will find out after work. Maybe I should change my name to Mom of Dragonets...

Makes sense. Thanks all for pointing me in the right general direction. The Rockville speakers were okay, but not super and they have a lot of negative reviews, so I appreciate any guidance on better quality speakers. When I'm feeling better we'll go listen to some and I'll try to set aside some funds over the next few months.

I'm not really a fan of Bluetooth audio with a video stream.

If you really like vintage gear, the original Klipschorn is hard to beat. Crazy expensive but nothing else like it anywhere.

Trying to be sure I understand your setup. What is the HDMI cable connected to? My computer and a blu ray player, audio and video in to the projector. With a physical switch to change from one to the other.A cable/satellite box or something else?

Does one of the two speakers have an AC power cord? Yes

It looks like a powered speaker setup but I'd like to be sure. Also does your projector have Bluetooth capability? Both computer and projector are Bluetooth capable. All very cheap equipment. Well, not the computer.

Maybe after retirement 🤔 😁
Imagine the first time I shopped for speakers and didn't realize prices were for EACH speaker and not a pair lol.
My main setup costs an exponential amount of money i'm ashamed to admit nor do I want my wife finding out 🤣

Just for info sake, would this be good? My cousin gave me a big subwoofer that I have in storage that I could try adding as well.

o.

It'll work... you will get more bang for your buck from a 2 channel stereo amp but an AVR will make integration with your TV much easier if it has HDMI E-arc

Indeed it would. Denon are very good AV Receivers (I'm still using a Denon AVR that I bought about ten years ago) and it would give you a lot of flexibility. Like I said, I'm a fan of the sound of Klipsch so it is a winner in my book.
