It has certainly made me do that.

Without going the hydros/expensive route, which I take it you'd at least prefer to avoid, I think the ink bird might be your route. Yes it's a temp sensor, but your temp is going to be one of the first things effected by a power loss. This WIll send a notification to your phone. Even if it isn't a power failure, an alert would signify a heater failure which would be equally catastrophic.

Im really pulling for you and your husband on this one.

Oh! And by the way...

Welcome to #Smorgasbordafterdark

I am actually agreeing with this. I have 5 inkbirds on my personal tanks. Never knew they could send alerts before this. Going to experiment on mine and see how respond.

After the clinics tank is restocked with fish I may donate my yellow tang. Sunny leaves all my fish alone but my favorite. My CBB! The YT has never caused physical damage but chases it often. So stocking only with fish that do not resemble a YT.

I don't want to give up my tang. But I also want it to stop terrorizing my CBB. The YT leaves all other fish alone.

I really appreciate all the input into my situation. And have enjoyed the music some have shared, mostly. 😂

No problem, friend! I do think that there are models that dont have Bluetooth capabilities. I'd efinitely check into that. :)

😄 🤣 Sometimes I wander off into the musical left field and in fairness, you had no previous warning about ##Smorgasbordafterdark
Feel free to slip in a song if you want. I guarantee we can come up with something from that!

We just put a new one on the clinics tank. And several of mine are newer ones. Willing to swap the one out if needed for one of mine.

People come into the clinic and look at the tank. It is great. I will do whatever it takes to make it work.

I was thinking CUC and peaceful fish are a priority for stocking first.'

@kingranch2003 other than dendros my favorite LPS are scolymia. And I am looking for my next favorite one. Call me picky, but been looking for 2 years or so.
Let me be a bad influence. You are chasing the right coral lol. And this is one that is worth treating like you're acquiring a piece of art. If you keep it happy (which isn't difficult) it will live with you for a long time.

Absolutely two of my tank treasures!

Is it only this one? I believe the clinic has the blue one. I can swap it out.
i believe this is the only aquarium specific model Inkbird offers with WiFi capability… the ITC 312 Bluetooth does have a blue housing…

Nice of you to say. They are so fun. My trachy has been with me for close to 10 years.
Gotta love the meat corals! 10 years? I've had mine for 2 and thought I was doing something lol. Those are incredible shots. What do you feed yourself to get such a reaction?
