Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Yes I do but I have a Kole tang and a melanarus wrasse that has teamed up giving everything else it the tank hell , I think it’s because of there color but who knows .
I have two tangs and 5, soon to be 6 , wrasses and none even looked in his direction. The only one that even showed the mildest interest was the yellow Tang. She seems to swim the most with the two tangs

Good morning Tom
Mornin Rock, how's the weather? Looking forward to more pics of your tank.

I put my 40 Breeder on a 75 stand so I have two 6" side tables on the stand, similar idea to your stand. I like it a lot.

I don't remember ever seeing much aggression toward an Elibli in a tank no matter who was in it but then there is always some butt-head that thinks it's tougher than it is. The Elibli is fairly stout so as long as the tang keeps its scalpel to itself it would probably be fine. They are also more laid-back than most of the other pygmy angels so they rarely invoke 'get-out-of-my-face' responses from the other fish.

It says if it fails two consecutive check-ins it will alert you to investigate.
I think there is a key word in there that may be an issue. Maybe not but it says 'two DAILY check-ins...'. If I take that at face value if the power failed on Saturday it wouldn't tell you until Monday. It may not mean that but I would get clarification.

I use that space on the side of the tank for all sorts of stuff during maintenance and testing!

I'll grab some pics later. I've been waiting because I'm rearranging corals based on colors and such. I am trying to not have two of the same colors next to each other. Plus, I've added more gorgonians and waiting on some rare softies that I found! One is a purple sinularia with green polyps, a pink finger leather and a Koji Wada stereonepthya (people mistakenly call it a Koji Wada nepthea which is close). The stereonepthya have a fiberglass feel to them and the sclerites are visible in the flesh of the coral.
However... yes, I will get some pics later even though the canvas isn't finished being painted!!

I've been making my "to purchase" list for everything I need for the new tank build.

Boy was that ever depressing lol

I should be able to get it up and cycled at least, but it might just be a water palace for a while. I should've taken up something cheaper like golf, classic car collecting, or cross-country skiing!

Is the painting every really finished?

This is why I have not yet started my list. Heck, I haven't even finished my list for all the construction work I will have to do.
