Last night, in addition to our after dark session, @kingranch2003 John and I were texting. I admitted to him that I had thought Sonny had died a number of years ago. One of those artists that are forgotten but not forgotten. Another one of these was David Sanbourne. When he died, I had thought he was already dead.

That happens a lot after you turn 40. The hard part is separating the well-wishers from the heir-hawks and doomsayers.

About ten years ago my schedule made it more convenient to attend a different church for about six months. Once my schedule changed, we went back to our church. The first thing our priest said to me was 'I thought you were gone'. I'm sure he just meant moved but still.

My son bought the coons a new dog crate, big enough for a Great Dane, put a 5” diameter limb from bottom to the top for them to climb. He’s able to hold them at will. I was out there feeding them Honey Nut Cheerios. They love them and go nuts. They hold onto my fingers which their little hands as they take them from me. I’ll get a video next time.
