Lots Lystema species as noted elsewhere. Heck the bright red Scarlet Shrimp is a Lystema. It’s a very broad ranging genus.

I live pretty much halfway between Tucson and Phoenix. All of southern Arizona, including Phoenix metro, is in the Sonoran desert. About the only place you see grass is on golf courses and in parks or HOAs.

From what I understand John is the only way to know for sure if it’s a true aptasia eating peppermint shrimp is to lick it and if it tastes like a candy cane it’s the real deal.

Ouch!

99th and McDowell rarely has good stuff. I like the one at Estrella - usually clean tanks and decent selection but mismarked a lot of times. Northern and 101 is good sometimes but their tanks are dirty and they don't always have a lot of fish or a great selection most of the time. 59th and the 101 has a good manager and I-17 and Happy Valley had good clean tanks and healthy fish.

I cant hear very well from eardrum damage, I have seen this name a lot, but have never pronounced it correctly

They're fine but I moved all of my LPS to a 40 Breeder I set up just so I could use shrimp. I have thousands of Aiptasia in the tank. There are only two Peppermints in the tank I know of for sure. They have cleaned the bottom two-thirds of one rock, and keep it clean. They also do a pretty good job in the sand around their cave and there are no Aiptasia inside their cave. But I have a lot more rocks.

ORA has tank-raised Lysmata boggessi.

Ill add them to my research!

My batch of three did not go rogue until they had cleaned most of the easy to get to AIptasia. Then they went after a small acan and several hammers. The acan and one hammer did not make it but the other two hammers just lost a couple of heads. The Peppermints were caught and donated to an LFS.

I considered printing some cages for the LPS but decided that the 40B could double as a frag tank, so win-win.
