I can absolutely guarantee that my tank has a much worse Aiptasia problem than yours and I won't tear it down. I even purposely let the Aiptasia go unmolested for a few months before starting to try to control it to see if there is a natural die off point (if there is it is when there are so many Aiptasia that there is no room left for water.

Buckets, cheap or free used tanks, troughs even large tupperwareish containers are your friend. Berghia will almost always work as they are cryptic and can fit into astonishingly small spaces (I had three large adults that were living in the pores of an artificial sponge). The problem with Berghia is mainly in older established tanks as amphipods and bristleworms will eat the eggs. Shrimp and many crabs will eat the adults. Most wrasses will eat the young if they can get to them but again, they can fit into places no wrasse can reach and they are nocturnal unless starving.

I actually just got home and my wife pointed out a small patch of aiptasia right next to where I released them, that was absolutely gone! My problem is my rock work is packed with corals and honestly, I have lost a lot of corals so far. Mostly acans and anacropora.

It would be impossible for me to cut that beauty up. With that being said, it obviously grows back well and loves your tank!

The first one didn’t make it through quarantine and they did a second one. Six weeks later, the week it was to ship the contacted me saying the second one didn’t pass the health inspection, it should ship the following week or the one after. I really appreciate that Dr. Reef is being that cautious and not sending me an unhealthy fish that wouldn’t make it. Maybe you could send me a picture of yours, preferably flashing, that I could print and tape to my aquarium to look at every morning to get me by until I get mine?

No sir! I've never made that assertion.

I do have a brand new 50 gallon aio system sitting in the corner waiting to get wet, but life grabbed me around the ankles this month and I haven't set her up yet.

I've got a 30 polyp for $350 right now local and no one wants it. I've got a 6+babies for $150 and no one wants it.

Putting on pounds is my favorite hobby. Just viewing Paul's lunch and dinner photos should put on 5-10 lbs. I'd hold off on the leafy greens for a while though. Bacon is safe and by many accounts palatable.

Once they get going, it will get better incrementally, as the offspring come of age. When your tank is pretty clear, check your tank sump and plumbing. Once the Aiptasia the Berghia can get to are all gone, they will start to die off then if there are any Aiptasia still in the system they will eventually start to come back but the Berghia will be gone.

Good point. I can add them to the back area of the aio after I see my display is clear

None of mine came back but I had an AIO.
