My Gonis are starting to Goni up finally. All the water changes and the addition of manganese/iron plus the now sand from the ocean are helping I think. And I think lighting and flow are coming together as well.

I've only done TBS. 100lbs of rock. I think it was 5 boxes. one of the boxes was sopping wet. still make me wonder who's suitcase smelled like low tide and was trying to figure out what happened.
everything was good though. only thing that was tough was airport at like 6pm I think and had to bring two kids etc...was winter so dark too at that hour. but all was good.

My sand and rock from TBS came in buckets and dang it was hard to get the kids off!

I’ve used them in Every tank I’ve had for at least part of my rocks and now sand. Very happy. One heads up Mantis shrimp seem to like his rocks, probably related to the zone he harvests from. But the rock is solid stuff. And I’m extremely pleased with the sand. I put almost 4 and a half pounds in on top of the ten I had from Carib Sea and I love it. I think you were the one to suggest the purchase of the natural ocean water and I think I’m going to seeing the response from the same. Lots of shell and bit of old coral skeletons mixed in . I’m from to putting up some pics in a sec that shows how it looks.

Yes I highly recommend the NSW. Ive never seen anything have this much effect on my corals. Nutrients are falling at a perfect pace too!

Im seeing so much I want to get from GLR. And I like that they'll ship directly to your home. No airports!

The only thing to be aware of is that they won’t come in water . Just well soaked newspaper. It works well for overnight. Just something to think on if you want maximal live stuff. I have gotten sps and lps on their rocks that survived the newspaper ride but macro algae is generally a bust.

Soaked newspaper was the preferred packing material in the early days of live rock. It keeps the rock moist and doesn't weigh a ton and doesn't make too much of a mess if the shipping is a little rougher than desired.
