By the way I’m thinking of picking some corals from Hellfire Frags. They’re good priced and look healthy (most is wysiwyg). Right now he’s got deals like 3 torches for 110 or hammers/spawn for similar package prices.

I can honestly say I've never seen a $100 acanthophyllia. The torches are nicely priced also.

Me too and it seems to be a harder color to find. I picked this acantho up because of the baby blue on the edges (and becauseot was cheap). It hasn't come in yet, but hope my lighting doesn't change the colors too much when it gets in my tank.

That is a very nice acantho. I love the color of it. If you are concerned about it changing colors, most LPS don't change colors like the SPS do. However, I'd ask Andrew what PAR he has it in and try to come close to that if you are able. Normally, too much light will cause LPS to fade as they lose zoox.

Hey guys just got done being a chaperone on my son's field trip to the last home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. They had civil war reenactments and we got to tour the grounds.

Not a bad front porch view for an antebellum mansion.

I don't like head shots so I go for chest/ heart. If I feel like I can't get a good shot I won't take it.

I was kidding on the head shot. Only way I would do it is if it was a nice close shot, even then I'd probably just go heart/lungs.

I have a friend that hunts with a crossbow and he says he only takes head shots but sometimes I think he fibs and shoots them in the body and then when they are dead he stabs them in the head. I love him dearly but he likes stretch the truth a bit.

Well, just saw the mantis on the opposite side of the tank I’ve been focusing on but there’s a new burrow with sand moved out more and more since last weekend and the two crack heads don’t go anywhere near it. I guess it’s mantis season, I’m going to set the trap back up as well as fish for him using a silver side. It’s become my great white whale.
