it started to crack on the top seams, so apparently i need to brace it. I thought the same thing, but i was wrong unfortunately.Do you need a Euro brace for a tank that's only 48 in Long that is one inch thick acrylic? Seems a little excessive to me but I don't have an acrylic tank sorry
Thank you, I was thinking the same thing. it is 1" thick, but started to crack. so 1/2" thick seems like the game plan. ThankYour acrylic tank appears to have very thick sides. How thick is it?
If it's 1" or more, I'd suggest that 1/4" euro brace would be kind of light weight, but then edge on, it does have some strength.
If I were in your place, I'd opt to by some 1/2" and use it instead.
But that's just my 2 cents. We'll see if anybody else has an opinion.
