Hey all, I finished repairing my 1 inch thick acrylic tank, and was wondering if 1/4 inch for eurobracing is enough or if I should wait to find an acrylic store and get something larger like 1/2"

The tank measures 48" long, 24" wide and 16" tall.

Your acrylic tank appears to have very thick sides. How thick is it?

If it's 1" or more, I'd suggest that 1/4" euro brace would be kind of light weight, but then edge on, it does have some strength.

If I were in your place, I'd opt to by some 1/2" and use it instead.

But that's just my 2 cents. We'll see if anybody else has an opinion.

Do you need a Euro brace for a tank that's only 48 in Long that is one inch thick acrylic? Seems a little excessive to me but I don't have an acrylic tank sorry

Thank you, I was thinking the same thing. it is 1" thick, but started to crack. so 1/2" thick seems like the game plan. Thank
