1.5 HP pump recommendations

I am working on rebuilding a very large system and need a 1.5 horse power pump. Cost is not a factor, but I would like to not spend an arm and a leg when there is something of equivalent quality for less. What should I look in to purchasing?

How about looking into a VS pump for pools..... Or is that going to be way over kill.?
I picked up a pentair VS pump for about $900 for my pool. It is effecient as crap! You could dial it to the exact flow you wanted as well.
This maybe a hundred or two more than a typical pump for aquariums but the energy effeciency should be well worth it. Only downside maybe is many of these are 240v......
