I've been helping my students (7th & 8th grade) to design and build the stand for a 100 gallon cube tank that a local reefer was kind enough to donate to us. What a big project it has been!
They have a previous tank. A different group of kids helped me build the 29 gallon setup a few years ago. We will be putting the cube in the same location, to replace the 29.
The old tank had a closed loop with a chiller, some powerheads with a wave maker for flow, a 150 watt metal halide pendant, and live rock. Pretty simple, really. My students do the water testing, and dose ca, alk and mag by hand when needed.
I'll update later with pictures from the new build, as I figure out how to post them.
