10g Stocking Options

Hi all~ looking to get opinions on what you would stock in a 10g reef! Or, if you have a nano around the same size, what do you got?

Currently in mine I have a clown goby. Looking to add another inhabitant on Friday. Not huge on clowns, but would consider. Unique behaviors are a plus.

Six line wrasse, or pygmy wrasse. One or the other, six lines are peaceful until you start adding other wrasses. Clowns are always good in smaller tanks and they are evewhere. Watchman gobys are great, but no sand sifting gobys. They need huge tanks because of how much sand they need to feed off of.

Really, you think 6 lines are good? I've heard they can be quite the bullies, even with being the only wrasse in the tank.

Mine has been with clowns, a 1" coral beauty baby, shrimp, eel, tangs... he's currently the only fish in my 14 frag tank because I got a flasher wrasse for my 35, and I don't want to risk making my six line aggressive... but I haven't seen him show one bit of aggressive behavior to anything. He minds his own business looking for pests all day.

I'm really looking for an active swimmer now that I've got my clown gobe. But, very interesting choice.

I would go with a possum wrasse and a group of sexy shrimp!

I think it can be hit or miss with any fish that is suppose to be shy. I had a firefish, which are suppose to be a little on the shy side, and he was the most active fish in my tank. Loved him. I would vote for a firefish.

I would personally go for a candy basslet as just a show stopper for that size tank. Keep only rock dwellers in it. Maybe a shrimp(randalii) and goby pair.

I had 2 clowns, six line wrasse, YWGoby, and a royal gramma in a 14 gallon. But it was necessary to get my nutrients to stay around 5ppm. They all seemed to get along and the reef was healthy! Good luck! Oh and the six line has an awesome personality! 10 gallons is smaller but I just wanted to give you an idea.

They say it's colors are so bright that its difficult to take a picture of. Actually, I just started a 10 gallon but for a different reason. If that other reason doesn't go as planned, I might just keep it going for one of those fish. Expensive but worth it in my opinion. The swiss Guard basslet looks similar but not as colorful.

I have a 14 gallon biocube with a Cardinal fish, a Royal Gramma, a Yellow Watchman Goby/Tiger Pistol Shrimp and a Cleaner Shrimp... good activity in all parts of the reef!... The Goby/Pistol Shrimp are a very interesting pair...
