Looks good Matt. I now see where the MP40 is placed. So never mind that in the PM. I think over time your sand will settle down a bit more, and you wont have those problems with it kicking up so much. You might want to look into just getting one Tunze now, and then see how it goes.

hey Matt. that small island looks perfect for a nice pair of designer clowns and BTA.

Marvin, do you need my address to ship me some clowns?? I KNOW you have a few to spare. LOL jk. That is actually a very good idea. I really want all black/white clowns for my tank I think they are very cool.

I've been checking some of them out. Just want to make sure my tank is good and ready before I purchase fish with high price tags.

Update: Changing out the flow in the tank, I didn't think the mp40 was a good match for it due to my tank being 30" wide. Attaching it to the back glass and it blowing on the front caused the sand to move away creating a bare spot on the bottom. It was doing this without even turning it up high at all. So I'm going to switch to tunze so I can still attach them to the back glass and change the position of them so them arent facing directly at the front glass.

Have been testing my nitrites daily and after tonight's test they have definitely come down some. So it's getting there, little over 3 weeks into the cycle.

I'm thinking a pair of black clown fish. I'm going to increase the stock slow to make sure everything is good.

Are you thinking the regular black clownfish or the phantom ones?

I would really like to get some phantoms but it would make me nervous putting a pair of 300 clowns in there at first. I may get a regular pair of clowns then later on get a pair of phantoms.

If you wanna test the tank first get a few blue/ green chromis to test it out. Their cheap and u could always leave them in the system and get the clowns u really want after u know for sure they can make it.
