Really cool design. I love big, wide, and shallow tanks also!

Now, you just need some nice maxima’s ;)

Finally got around to nerding out on the apex and other equipment! Probably the most organized I have ever been with a tank.

Thanks! In my old tank I had a maxima for a long time. It got about 8 inches across before I sold it. I could barely keep up with the cal demand! My deresa is growing at a rapid rate. It's nuts.

Lost my blue jaw Trigger when he jumped out a couple days ago. Really want another. He was super fun to have in the reef.

I finally put a top on the tank. Not as clean but is ok, and now I can start adding some wrasses.

2021 definitely had its up and downs in the reef tank. My Apex power bar failed while I was out of town and didn't notice for a few days. Lost some acros to that fiasco.

I also had issues with phosphates dropping out. I feed so much I have never has issues with low nutrients/phos so this was new to me, and not something I considered when I started getting STN in acros and ticked LPS. Started getting phos readings of 0 on a ULR hanna checker, and confirmed this with an ATI ICP test. ATI's lab confirmed 0 phos and super low strontium. I have both those numbers in check and everything seems to be humming along now!

If you run a C02 reactor on your reef check this product out. Identical to the BRS media, but $100 for 44 lbs shipped to your door. This should last me forever!

Love that stuff. Get ready for some growth!

id add some type of floss at the top of your reactor. I’ve heard reports of increased lithium from this product.

Finished a couple projects today.

I set up my C02 scrubber to recirculate air through my skimmer. I'm hoping this keeps my Ph where I want it, and slows down burning through media.

I also installed a float switch in the skimmer cup that is programed through an Apex breakout box to shut the skimmer down when the cup gets full. This prevents the skimmer intake from ingesting tank water on accident.
