Hey guys! First large tank in a few years. Found a good deal on a 120 with dual overflows and stand/Canopy. Had to tear down my 220 when I joined the army so I couldn't resist getting back in. Here's the tank before I picked it up.

First thing I wanted to do was remove the overflows and drill the back. Well just my luck I ripped the bottom seam and sprung a leak. Welp after resealing (God is it sloppy) the aquarium I started plumbing and making a sump. I started with the intent of all black plumbing but man I just couldn't justify the price on the fittings and ditched that idea. Bought a 40breeder from petco and fuji cube baffles from Amazon. Tanks in the garage right now and so far no leaks in the tank or plumbing. Should be getting my rocks, sand, lights, and UV sterilizer from @Bulk Reef Supply this week (thank you 10% sale).

The main plan for this tank is sps heavy, but we'll see how being in the Army allows for that. Might end up being LPS heavy with sps sprinkled in.

Main nutrient export will be a refugium with a AI prime running 24/7. Lighting will be either 4 or 6 bulb retrofit T5 with 4 AI primes. At some point I'll add the skimmer just haven't decided on what I want yet.

Got some of my lights in today. Need to see how exactly what height I'll put them at. My AI primes should be in tomorrow.

Tank passed the leak test and it slowly being filled in the living room.

Bunch of updates. The tank is for the most part 100% up and running. Still need 2 more T5HO and a 2k gyre. Refugium is up, fish are in and lights are on. I really need to build a cabinet to go next to the tank for all the wiring. It's a Fire Marshall's nightmare under the stand.

The apex is up and running. The UV (25w aqua) is going. The thing that is bugging the crap out of me is this scuff on the glass. I tried using a razor blade, steel wool, even a magic eraser and can't get it off. This is gonna be my last used tank I swear....

It's beaut!

Is the scuff on the inside or out? If a razor blade isn't removing it then I'm assuming the glass is scratched? Try some glass filler buffing compound if its on the outside.

It's on the outside... Honestly didn't notice it till the tank was filled and fish were added. At some point, it will drive me over the top and I'll drain the tank just to remove it.
