Lol. It's a saying. Basically saying you got mullah.
Well, that's far from the truth. Have you seen some of the builds out there? I'm not going to be one of those reefers that lays down $500 on a piece of coral the size of your thumb nail. Nor would I ever spend over $1,000 on a fish. I do believe that having quality equipment is a must! I've been very selective, and calculated about the equipment I would like/need to have. I have been saving since last January for a lot of it. I'm a nurse in a pediatric doctors office so far, very far from rolling in mullah. I wish I was believe you me!

Well at least you have corals in your tank @USMC4Life.... I'm still running a FOWLR tank :p

If you want to see my tank you can go to my webcam, not a good one but can see it when it's running 10a-10p. 24.34.216.251:8081 guest and fishies

Oh boy now I've done it! 80lbs of aragalive special grade reef sand and boy is it cloudy. I have 40 more pounds for the DT if needed, if not in the fuge it goes (still bare bottom).

Jesse, what are you using for a fuge? A seperate tank, right? How did you connect it to your sump? Some pics would be very helpful as I am going to use my current sump as a fuge once I get my new 40B sump up and running.

Oh and I think you are not clicking full image when you attach your pics, that's why they are so small

Let me see that sea swirl. I love them I have two 3/4 on a closed loop powered by a vectra m1 and I just love them. So what elsewhere do u have for flow? I recomend getting another and doing a closed loop with them and then a penductor on the return and that will be darn close to all the flow u will need just my two cents it's looking good tho

@Fudsey I'm using my iPhone when I post. I always select best for the images and that is the highest resolution. I don't see the full image option your referring to. My refugium is my old 40 breeder with a coast to coast overflow. It has two hole drilled in the back panel for the plumbing. It's on a stand which is higher than the sump. I used a WYE fitting on my return pump and a gate valve to divert and control flow in the refugium. That's it pretty simple. I will get you some picks soon. Hopefully bigger pictures.[emoji6]

It's a 1" seaswirl I've probably got close to 1000gph going through it. Right now I've got 2 Koralia pumps in there the 1400gph versions. If you look back a couple pages you will see I won the Tunze Stream 3 giveaway. Once that gets here I'm hoping all I will need is the seaswirl and the Tunze. Here is my through wall mount of my seaswirl. Ed the owner actually said in the 15 years or so that he's been making them this is the first he's seen someone mount it like this. I take that as a compliment.

How are u going to hide the wires? I saw a cool idea with a floating canopy held by pipes from the ceiling with the wires ran thru the pipes it looked so clean

Yes I'm following that build also, that is a pretty slick set up. I'm not exactly sure what I'm gonna do yet to hide the light wires. The ceiling above the tank is actually a chase that I built. I've planned on using 1-2 desk grommets to pass the wires through and then everything will be hidden. If I hang the lights 10-12" over the tank there really won't be all that much exposed wire. We'll see once I actually have the lights in my hands.

I'm hoping I will have my lights the beginning of the week which will be awesome. Sand cloud had settled by this morning have a little clean up to do, and will post some picks later tonight after work. Unless I decided to dump the rest in the DT we will see after I move some around. I would like to have a few wrasses and some of those are going to want some nice sand to sleep in so I may thicken it up a bit.

Ya too bad it's a crappy cam. Might look a lot better with a newer one but that's all I got right now :)

Hers the DT with 100lbs of sand in it! Cleared up quite nicely. Until I added the deep sand bed to the refugium today. Rinsed 2, 5gal buckets full of sand from my old system that I had stored for the last few years. I was surprised it was really not that nasty. Still had a bunch of water in it. I think it probably had a good amount of anaerobic bacteria in it. Then one 20lb bag of new live sand on top. Have probably a 5-6" DSB in the fuge.
