Hello, i guess I have never done a build thread for either of my tanks. Now is a perfect opportunity due to the fact I am upgrading my 55gallon reef to a larger one between 125-150gallons. This all depends on what this tanks dimensions are when a friend goes to pick it up for me.

here is the list of stuff that will be purchased:
Sump:50$

Skimmer:SM207 Monzter DC Internal Protein Skimmer - Skimz 500$

Heater: 2x 200w Aqueon on days of the weak@21$

Lights:2 sb reef lights 270$(I have an extra 1)

Rock:amazon Base rock 40lb for 50$= 150$=free shipping

Energy bar 8:160$

Acrylic/glass baffles: n/a

Plumbing: n/a

So right now all I have bought is a sump from petco a 40gallon breeder and I am getting my first 2 boxes from amazon of the rock and will start to cure it!

here is mu sump design:please critique

With the sump, why have such a large return? I personal would have it reversed, take a look at some sump online. Are you going to have a refugium, reactors?

So I have been looking at skimmers and really narrowed it down to either reef octupus and or Bubble magus. They are both cost effective. Bubble magus more so. The only complaint I think I can see with Bubble magus is the 9.5-11in operating depth which is high. My baffles are 10in high so i mean it would work but if I needed to raise it I would not have much room to do so. What is your experience with each brand.

So Here is a little update:

I pulled off all the equipment from the 55gallon that will go on my NEW 135gallon Seapora or marineland Reef ready tank. I will be going to order one at the LFS tomorrow. It will come with the stand and glass tops. this tank will be a 72x18xH. Forgot the height lol. I hope it will be a rimless.
