have you looked at the phillips coralcare lights? two of these would be great coverage. i have one on my 36"x24" and it lights up the tank well. they are monstrously big and heavy, fair warning. built like a tank. i really like them because they are passively cooled, zero noise.

Why not use 2 36" t5 fixtures? You could buy one and put all the corals on one side of the tank until you can afford a second fixture. T5's are great and can grow anything if setup properly.
