Beautiful collection! If it was my tank I'd cover the eggcrate in the front though, it's a little distracting imo.
Thanks. I agree. My plan always was to add sand. Only one of 4 bags has been added. Other bags are sitting next to the tank. Only want to add 1 bag at a time, soon I will.

Thanks Greg! No3 and po4 are undetectable. Using API tests, they show nothing. I’m sure there is some, but it’s very low I can’t see it in tests. The KH at 10-12 is for “stupid/lazy reefer buffer” lol. They appear happiest at 9-10, but I like to keep it a little higher for me, so when time is “Limited” and it drops, and I can’t get there to correct, it’s ok to drift down a little and they all stay happy. Flip side is higher KH makes the calcium drop more, but I can raise calcium faster than KH and not tick them off. If I raise KH too fast, they show their displeasure. Hope that helps.

5 months in and all is humming along nicely. The blue got really stubby tents in the center when the KH dropped really low. The purple next to the leather still has it’s mouth inverted since the move, but the tents are long enough it’s difficult to see the guts hanging out. It looks like it’s chewing gum and blew a bubble and never sucks back in. It’s never recovered from lifting it out of the water fully inflated sunny side up on the rock, but it’s still kicking. Got something damaged from doing that. Lesson learned. Other than this, all is well.

Thanks guys!

I haven’t fed the nems anything in months. I don’t want them to grow anymore. I think I remember doing (2) 5 gallon water changes since it’s been set up. Sad, I know.... I’ve been meaning to do another for the last couple months, time escapes. They all seem to be doing just fine though. I usually remove a few gallons of water a month from rising salinity from dosing.

I’m really surprised the tank is doing so well, I spend almost no time on it, lucky if 5 minutes a day 5-6 days a week is it. Manual dosing is a hassle, but it seems to be the same consumption as the 210 they came from, so levels have been very easy and close to guess at this whole time for daily additions, I test when things don’t look so hot. I have 2 cameras in it that I can access from my phone, and a bunch of smart home switches that I can turn off everything individually from my phone, so if a men wanders into a mp40, I can shut it off with my phone from home. Here’s camera shots from now.

Only thing that makes me nervous is there’s only 2 GFI that feed everything, and my battery back up is not connected yet.

Thanks guys!

You are a brave man, Taylor. I would be in pieces if I had to move this crowd of gigs. Beautiful new tank!

Thanks!

It was a gamble for sure, but I love my gigs! You’re right, I was on edge the first month. I couldn’t part with them when it came down to go time. My plan is a 180 in the future when I get a new place. Maybe a couple years from now I hope to move them again.

I can only imagine how much each one of them weighted...
