Oh, powders are prone to ich too, arguably worse.Blue tangs are prone for ich. I would go powder brown or blue.
I hear that whitecheeks are a lot less prone to ich and whitespotOh, powders are prone to ich too, arguably worse.
i love my convict tang smI like purple tangs too, however I cannot stand their high price tags, pacific blue tend to be hardier than powder blue from what I hear, the convict that I have has been very good.
All I can say is I think the convict tang is a good “first acanthurus tang”i love my convict tang sm
eh. most vendor sites have them marked as moderate care bc some just don't eat at all which has happened to a couple people on hereAll I can say is I think the convict tang is a good “first acanthurus tang”
I said first acanthurus tang, not first tang in general in which I would suggest one from the genus zebrasoma, for acanthurus, a convict tang is a better option than a powder blue, powder brown, or whitecheek if a beginner wants an acanthurus genus tangeh. most vendor sites have them marked as moderate care bc some just don't eat at all which has happened to a couple people on here
i disagree but only because ich proneness is easier to treat than not eating. kinda a tough call we both are right lolI said first acanthurus tang, not first tang in general in which I would suggest one from the genus zebrasoma, for acanthurus, a convict tang is a better option than a powder blue, powder brown, or whitecheek if a beginner wants an acanthurus genus tang
I‘d say only get it if you see it eating like nobodies business at the fish shop.i disagree but only because ich proneness is easier to treat than not eating. kinda a tough call we both are right lol
UPDATE: The stocking plan has changed dramatically due to fish in stock at my local shop.

2x ocellaris clownfish
1x Midas blenny
1x orchid dottyback
1x convict tang
